Feb.23 is the Day in commemoration of Soviet Army and Navy. This is
old Soviet tradition according with all men get small souvenirs and
congratulations from women. Indeed this Day is Man’s Day.
After disintegration of the USSR
Feb23 got the new name in new
Russia – The Day of Homeland’s Defender.
To continue this tradition we had the Party. It was so funny. At first, competition for best gunner was there. Our leggy blonds shoot by small tangerines at distance 10 steps to an apple. Apple was placed on the hat, and hat was placed on the head of one brave Russian Navy vet. Nobody was champion, because all gunners keep eyes not on apple, but on his face.
Then it
was the knight tournament for the right to select the Queen of beauty. Our mate-horsed knights had fighting with
their last ounce and winners named the Queen.
A lot
of funny gave the dance contest on the papers. In every next tour the squire of
the paper became half size that before. And in the third tour the men in every
dancing pair take their partners on the hands. The flowers of glory obtained
the former staff officer and researcher for now.
All
guys were so happy to take part in those competitions. There was a lot of
funny.
